CONDITIONS OF DONATED CLOTHING ITEMS

Bags and boxes of clothing will not be accepted

 

Per our stated policy on the condition of donated items, we only accept clothing that is cleaned, on hangers, and ready for our clients to wear to their interview.  Donations received are directly merchandised into our client showroom and request the following:

  • On hangers
  • Current style
  • New or like new
  • In season
  • Cleaned, pressed and ready for wear

 

Acceptable items off hanger include: footwear, handbags, totes, accessories, and any new intimate apparel items. 

 

We have very limited resources and space. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

 

SUGGESTED ITEMS FOR DONATION

When preparing your clothing donations, please keep in mind that we are providing clothing for women to wear on a job interview and to wear to work.

  • Dresses
  • Suits
  • Skirts & pants
  • Blazers & blouses
  • Shoes & boots
  • Jewelry & scarves
  • Purses & totes
  • Shapewear & slips
  • Intimate apparel* (bras & panties must be NWT)
  • Winter coats, boots, scarves, gloves and hats                                                     
  • *Undergarments (bras & panties) must be new and in their original packaging.


All donations to Poised For Success are tax deductible, as we have been determined by the IRS to be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Poised For Success is self-funded through fundraising, private and corporate donations and grants. We reserve the right to sell/consign items with the funds being used to supplement low inventory and to help keep our doors open and the lights on.
